City Water Safety Report

The city of Rocky Ford provides its customers with safe drinking water. City water provided to customers has never exceeded the maximum contaminant levels established by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. The city currently has two potable water wells. On November 16, 2010 a laboratory tested the city’s water for radionuclides. The results of the laboratory tests were filed with the state of Colorado on November 18, 2010. The following are the results of those tests.

Use Our Special Trash Pickup Service

Cleaning a house, garage or yard and wondering what to do with the trash?  The city provides special trash and leaf pick up service for its residential trash customers for a nominal $10.00 per load fee.  This is a great way to have extra trash picked up at a minimal cost after cleaning a house, garage or yard.  Just call 254-7414 to arrange a pickup date and time.  The city provides the manpower and equipment while you relax.

Utility Bill Deadlines and Information for 2011

The following information is provided to assist city of Rocky Ford municipal utility customers.

Statement Mailing:  The city mails utility bills via first class mail through a third party.  The mailings are timed to provide customers their statements no later than the 5th of the month and usually by the 1st or 2nd of the month.

Due Date:  All municipal utility bills are due upon receipt.

Last Day to Pay:  As a general rule, the current utility bill should be paid by close of business on the 20th day of the month to avoid late fees or disconnection.  The schedule below provides the exact schedule for each month.

Late fees:  A late fee of ten dollars is imposed where payment is received after the payment deadline.
