The Rocky Ford Police Department ensures public safety and maintains the peace at various local functions as well. Chief Frank Gallegos also teaches local children and administers the D.A.R.E. program at local area schools.
The police department is also home to code enforcement and operates the city dog pound. The department currently shares it’s location with the Fire Department and the 16th Judicial District Auxilary Probation Office.

Sgt. Angelo Griego attended a Supervisory Training Class in Lamar, Colo. For Three days.
